Hey, I’m Nic.

I’m an artist, storyteller, and memory-keeper based in North Carolina.

I started painting and stitching and carving back in 2022, but the truth is, I’ve been gathering this work my whole life—I just didn’t always have the words for it.

Hotel Appalachia came out of that quiet ache to remember. To hold on to what shaped me.

Old barns. Foxfire books. Granny Ruby’s dumplings. Sunday afternoons on the porch while my granddad told the same story like it was brand new.

My work is rooted in that same slowness. I use materials like India ink, reclaimed rags, raw canvas, and hand-pulled prints. But more than the medium, I’m after something deeper: making things that feel like they’ve been with you forever—even if you just found them.

I believe in honoring the place I’m from without trying to polish it up too much. There’s beauty in the worn edges, the in-between, the cracked frame. And I want this space—this whole project—to feel like a kind of home. One where memory matters. Where good work takes time. Where story and art and soul all sit at the same table.

Whether you’re just passing through or planning to stay awhile, I’m glad you’re here.

Pull up a chair.

Art that remembers.
